Martín Berasategui

Martin Berasategui took his first steps in San Sebastián’s Bodegón Alejandro, an eatery run by his parents and aunt, while training in France for years on his days off. Today he is the Spanish chef to hold most Michelin stars, ten in total, distributed over the 3-starred Restaurante Martin Berasategi (in the Basque Country), Restaurante Lasarte (Monument Hotel 5*GL, Barcelona),the 2-starred Restaurante MB (The Ritz-Carlton Abama, Tenerife), and the 1-starred Oria (Monument Hotel 5*GL, Barcelona) and Eme Be Garrote (San Sebastián). His imaginative, innovative and fresh gastronomy based on locally-sourced produce yet open to the world, are the identifying features of a chef in constant evolution who now attracts diners from all over the world to enjoy his gastronomic art.
